KPMG Advisory Information Technology provides IT organizations the insights and capabilities they need to balance new solutions while maintaining ongoing operations.

Advisory Data Organization (ADO)

The ADO has been successful in expanding the use of KPMG data assets and deepening the firm’s data and insights driven culture, including helping KPMG employees leverage data assets through its Data Concierge; delivering D&A driven pro bono community impact work in the U.S. with its Data Citizens with Purpose program; and upskilling Advisory professionals through the Digital Literacy Program.

ADO is broken down into the following integrated functions to enable Advisory to become data driven:

Technology Assurance - Audit

KPMG Technology Assurance professionals are an integral part of our Audit practice. In an age where companies across markets and industries depend heavily on technology to operate successfully, Technology Assurance - Audit professionals play an increasingly important role in providing assurance over the integrity of an organization’s control environment. Tax Technology Practice (TTP)

Our teams work directly with clients to implement technology, processes and controls that help transform business models and drive value within tax departments; develop, implement, and support the technology that helps KPMG tax professionals effectively serve our clients. A team of tax accountants, business analysts, software developers, and project managers across the U.S. work together to deliver technology that supports our entire portfolio of KPMG tax services. Skillsets include tax technical issues, technology innovation, consulting, and Lean Six Sigma.

Audit Technology Organization

The Audit Technology Organization (ATO) develops and deploys technology solutions into the Audit practice with a focus on transforming the Audit and improving the experience of our people and our clients. ATO professionals work in a dynamic environment – with audit engagement teams, business unit and industry leaders and centralized service teams – to develop custom software solutions, design new automated processes, build data and analytics routines, and extract and transform data from client systems. ATO is a cross-functional organization bringing together tech-savvy audit professionals working alongside data and analytics professionals, software developers, data engineers and automation experts.

Enterprise Data Services

The Enterprise Data Services team focuses on establishing data as an asset to empower people to use the right data, at the right time resulting in insightful outcomes in a data driven culture. We continue to develop and evolve the foundational data assets as a part of the firm’s data supply chain to enhance data reuse, transparency, access, quality, standardization, and controls; to meet the changing needs of our clients, functions, regulators, and risk management.
