KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Product Management to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall delivery of technology products and releases utilizing Agile and other product management methodologies; set tactical plan for the execution of the strategic objectives of the program(s); ensure development of actionable strategies align with firm priorities
- Maintain product roadmaps, feature backlogs, and ensure prioritization according to desired business outcomes; monitor risks, issues, and overall health of the program(s) and product portfolio, escalating risk to the sponsors and IT leadership to raise awareness and provide recommendations to resolve issues
- Operate as a key advisor to clients and proactively initiate ideas to significantly improve client centricity; drive and manage progress of shared assignments/group objectives and large-scale programs, processes and/or projects
- Provide leadership and direction to remove obstacles and help ensure team members have all the tools and guidance to successfully execute on programs and products; safeguard program(s) and products(s) are delivered according to business expectations; work with architects, delivery, and operations to understand internal changes (for example: digital capabilities, upgrades to infrastructure, technology refreshes, internal projects, and so on) that need to be prioritized and scheduled in the change plan
- Enable optimized governance and integrated management of cost, schedule, and effort ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-value realization of programs; prepare and present executive level program status to the sponsor and leadership teams
- Interact regularly with delivery partners and/or department leaders; proactively initiate ideas to improve client service for a specific work product within a department; contribute to department or group objectives, strategy, and priorities; set tactical plan for execution of strategic objectives
Qualifications:
- Minimum ten years of recent, advanced program or product management skills with experience in organizing, planning, and executing multiple large-scale products and programs from definition through implementation
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; PMP certification is preferred
- Experience managing multi-phase, multi-track projects spanning nine to twenty-four months in duration
- Comprehensive knowledge of full lifecycle project management, software development lifecycle, Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), package implementations, infrastructure deployment methodologies, IT transformation projects and industry best practices
- Ability to make decisions of very high complexity, often autonomously
- Exceptional verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; ability to direct, motivate and empower others to work towards the organization's goals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across multiple functions; able to ensure execution of strategic initiatives for the organization; capability to address emerging opportunities and how organization should be organized/staffed to realize them
