KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our Infrastructure, Capital Projects & Climate practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams in identifying and developing solutions for operational and capital program performance, concentrating on transportation, emergency management and broader infrastructure sectors
- Drive strategic initiatives by participating in technology implementation engagements focused on enhancing strategy and business processes within these sectors
- Spearhead business development efforts by building a robust professional network and identifying opportunities, particularly within Floridas state agencies based in Tallahassee; maintain a strong market presence to expand revenue and achieve organizational goals; oversee quality and efficiency across client engagements by crafting comprehensive infrastructure strategies that align with the evolving demands of Floridas transportation and emergency management landscape; ensure the development and mentorship of staff
- Actively engage in practice building through recruitment, training, thought leadership and solution development, particularly in response to shifts in state policies or leadership
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in infrastructure technology and recommend innovative solutions that enhance client performance and sustainability in transportation and emergency management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as state agencies (DEM, Dept of Commerce, DMS, FDOT), to proactively shape client thinking and address their specific needs in these sectors
- Navigate market dynamics, including transitions within government leadership, to ensure alignment with new policy directions and maximize growth potential for the infrastructure advisory practice
Qualifications:
- Minimum twelve years of recent advisory/consulting experience with cross-sector infrastructure projects
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university/college
- Proven ability to develop and sustain business relationships, with skills in business development in public sector and/or corporate capital projects
- Excellent consulting skills, including analytical, verbal and written communication, client presence, facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong project management experience, capable of organizing, coordinating and leading teams toward successful project completion
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed, particularly within Florida, to maintain effective stakeholder engagement and response capability
