KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Project/Program Management to join our Advisory Digital organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage project management knowledge across the information technology (IT) organization; establish positive and collaborative relationships with customers, and demonstrate a clear understanding of both internal, as well as external customer requirements, and measurement criteria
  • Consult with internal customers on project initiation statements, project definition reports, business cases and benefits realization estimates; accountable for defining project scope; identify, manage and control changes to scopes; drive and operate multiple concurrent projects independently
  • Build and manage project operating costs, request budget allocation and reallocations, as well as ensure project and program is within budget; build and maintain project artifacts (stakeholder analysis and status reporting); create work plans, and work programs, including estimates and resource requirements
  • Communicate project status and be the project advocate; accountable for risk and issue management; integrate and align with other processes and solutions; participate in and facilitate post project/phase reviews to cultivate a learning organization
  • Develop and build relationships with business partners, peers and managers across external teams (such as Governance, Risk and Security) to aid in moving projects and programs forward as needed, including understanding strategic initiatives of the business partner, and acting as an advocate for their technology initiatives
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of recent experience with agile/scrum methodology, hybrid/agile delivery environment, systems development life cycle, change management; background with one or more project management tools is preferred (i.e. MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet); background managing projects involving MS Azure cloud is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified or similar certification is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on crafting compelling and visually engaging presentations in PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated passion for guiding project teams toward accomplishing intricate technology goals, coupled with a strong sense of urgency to drive project progress, and team performance
  • Experience leveraging AI for project management responsibilities; prior experience with mentoring and coaching junior project managers and driving team engagement; Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, and analytical skills
