KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our Business Tax Services practice.
Our New York Financial Services tax practice is looking to recruit a Managing Director to be a key member of our fast-growing infrastructure tax team.
- Serve as a leader within our New York Financial Services tax team
- Develop relationships with clients and targets to gain an understanding of their businesses and identify and pursue client engagement opportunities
- Lead tax consulting and compliance engagements across our bulge bracket fund and institutional client base
- Lead and develop multiple client engagement teams
- Provide guidance and mentoring to tax practice team members
- Be an agent for change in relation to process improvement, including use of new tools and technologies in our service delivery model
- Minimum ten years of recent tax experience in an accounting firm, organization and/or law firm, including in relation to fund structuring, deal onboarding and fund reporting and compliance services
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and licensed CPA, JD/LLM or Enrolled Agent
- Actively seeks out opportunities for growth, is comfortable challenging the status quo, and enjoys getting out of their comfort zone; can-do attitude, always seeking creative solutions to problems with the help of the right technical tools and a supportive team
- Passion for the asset management sector and an interest in infrastructure and energy investments as well as experience leading multiple consulting and compliance engagements and client service teams as well as developing and mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated track record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain existing internal and external client relationships and help build new relationships with key targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information
