KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Specialist, Deal Advisory & Strategy, Data Science in Deal Advisory and Strategy Analytics for our Deal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage buy-side and sell-side business analytics and performance transformation engagements
- Develop relationships with clients and engage in effective interactions with target and sell-side company executives
- Perform quality of data and revenue and profitability analysis at the transaction level across customers, products, and services
- Identifyand evaluate matters that potentially impact enterprise value and the purchaseor sales price, including financialand operational trends of target companies
- Communicate our findings effectively, both verbal and written, through Excel, PowerPoint, and visualization tools such as Power BI
- Own or participate in every component of a client deliverable, from identifying client needs to producing the final presentation and reports
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent experience in strategy consulting, financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, transaction services, advisory or public accounting
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, mathematics, finance or economics preferred; minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required
- Superior analytical skills using financial modeling, research, and accounting analysis; proficiency with financial research tools; experience with scripting languages such as Python, R or SQL; data visualization tools such Power BI or Tableau; and data preparation tools such as Databricks and Alteryx
- Experience presenting findings by weaving data into a compelling narrative to drive business insights and outcomes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to business people potentially including C-level executives; able to explain business processes, concepts, challenges, and issues to technical resources
- Experience in project management, including planning, organizing, coordinating and managing staff, clients and/or partners towards the successful completion of a project
- Willingness and ability to travel

California Salary Range: $85000 - $206800
