KPMG is currently seeking an Actuarial Life-Modeling AXIS Associate/Senior Associate to join our Audit practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the actuarial management group with modeling Life, Annuities and Long-Duration Health insurance products
- Develop, perform, and review KPMG and client workpapers and analytics
- Create, enhance, test, and update actuarial models using Moody's Analytics' AXIS software
- Produce and manipulate database applications used in support of experience studies and other data management functions
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:
- Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management as well as supervise and serve as a mentor to associates, new hires, and interns on engagements
- Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management
- Assist with project planning, development of deliverables, and other technical writing exercises
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of recent related work experience in Actuarial
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematics
- Demonstrated good exam progress towards a certification as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries
- Experience with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Statutory Financial Reporting
- Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize work without extensive direction from supervisors
- Strong understanding of Life, Annuity and Long-Duration Health Insurance products
- Travel may be up to 40-60% as required by client demand
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:
- Minimum three years of recent related work experience in Actuarial
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred
- Well established understanding of business dynamics and operations
