KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Grants Management to join our Advisory Services practice.
- Provide technical advisory services for disaster recovery relief programs, including program design, management, ensuring regulatory compliance, maximizing funding, and expediting rebuilding while maintaining program integrity
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize federal and state disaster assistance, offering expert programmatic and policy advice on federal disaster relief programs, and crafting long-term recovery plans including cost of reconstruction and relocation, and/or mitigation strategies
- Design and deliver presentations and reports with strong written communication skills, offering meaningful recommendations to clients
- Contribute to KPMG's thought leadership through industry and regulatory publications, writing professional articles, and speaking on current compliance issues at external seminars
- Lead and participate in business development efforts for primary clients within disaster locations, while overseeing team operations by planning, assigning tasks, and guiding recruiting and retention efforts to grow the practice
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum eight years of recent and applicable experience in a compliance or program design/management related role, working with state and federal disaster aid programs/agencies such as Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Community Development Block Grant; Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR); preferred certifications such as CEM, CFE, CGM, PMP
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; current and thorough knowledge of federal laws, rules and regulations associated with federal and state disaster aid programs
- Extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex projects, with an active role in executing engagements
- Strong client service and management skills, with a proven track record in driving business development efforts within an advisory environment
- Demonstrated history of successful client service and business development, showcasing the ability to build lasting professional relationships
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior executives.
- Travel may be up to eighty to one hundred percent of the time
