Managing Director (New York, NY)

Participate in the execution of audit engagements for Telecommunication, Media, and Technology (TMT) clients, including SEC registrants. Review SEC filings, research technical accounting issues, and identify business, auditing, and accounting issues impacting the TMT industry. Identify financial statement audit and reporting issues based on professional guidelines, including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Perform risk assessment analysis, internal control audit program development, and related testing, utilizing Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Audit Standard No. 5. Review data to detect deficient controls, fraud or noncompliance with laws, regulations, and management policies in accordance with the SOX Act Section 404. Understand and utilize KPMG's Audit Methodology.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

LICENSE REQUIREMENT:

CPA license required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field plus ten (10) years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a master's degree plus seven (7) years of experience. Employer will accept a three-year degree to meet the bachelor's degree requirement.

Three (3) years of experience must include: Reviewing and analyzing U.S. GAAP financial statements; U.S. GAAP; U.S. GAAS; PCAOB auditing standards; International Financial Reporting Standards; SEC Audit Requirements; SOX Section 404; and ASC 350, 360, 470, 480, 505, 606, 718, 805, 810, and 815.

Telecommuting may be permitted within commutable distance from the office location depending on business need.
