Oversee the assessment, design, and execution of all Data Engineering and Operations (DEO) IT service management (ITSM) practices. Maintain the operational state, stability, and performance of business applications, data platforms, and data pipelines. Support the development and periodic testing of the technical disaster recovery plans for IT platforms. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all applications and platforms within the Enterprise Data Services (EDS) portfolio, level 2-4 support, and application lifecycle management (ALM) activities across a wide variety of disciplines and technologies. Create and maintain a roadmap for ITSM vision, delivery objectives, performance, metrics, and governance. Assess and balance tactical and long-term IT operational needs via monitoring and trend analysis. Serve as the escalation point for all IT service management related topics for Internal Data Services (IDS) portfolio. Identify opportunities to introduce new service management practices to the DEO environment to support high quality customer delivery. Develop key practice and process performance measures, and report metrics to IT and EDS leadership and other stakeholders. Prepare annual budget for DEO platforms and pipelines, including expected expenditures related to labor, vendors, and annual capital projects for software and hardware upgrades.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 10 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 6 years of experience with the following:
• Building, implementing, and leading IT services management practices using Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework;
• Managing global vendor teams, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) tracking and contract management;
• Project management, including planning, executing, and monitoring projects within portfolio;
• Managing operations of IT applications and data platforms, including cloud and on-premise;
• IT financial management, including budgeting, cost allocation, vendor licensing, Statement of Work (SOW) preparation and management;
• Implementing ServiceNow platform and Configuration Management Database (CMDB);
• Master Data Management (MDM), ETL, Azure Data Lake (ADLS), Power BI, Databricks, Denodo, Azure Data Factory, Collibra, and Alteryx;
• Data management, including data quality, data governance, master data management, data warehousing, BI Analytics, and data science;
• Operating IaaS, SaaS, PaaS platforms, and integration with on-premise applications; and
• Data privacy laws and regulations, including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Telecommuting may be permitted within commutable distance from the office location, depending on business need.
