KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Revenue Cycle to join our Healthcare Provider Modernization practice.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver results for process improvement and transformation workstreams for revenue cycle operations work within a traditional or non-traditional healthcare system/organization; manage associates to focus on solving complex operational issues, utilizing market leading technology-enabled solutions & advanced analytics in conjunction with previous healthcare knowledge
- Collaboratively participate in client engagements focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational & financial outcomes across the different levels of healthcare organizations
- Work with clients to design/redesign business processes for optimized efficiency including the incorporation of tools and analytics, while utilizing and adapting to KPMG methodologies and tools; prepare client training materials, gap analyses, priority matrices, standard operating procedures, analytics, status reports, and issue/risk logs to present to clients
- Communicate regularly with engagement Managers, project team members, and client counterparts, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from the leadership team; demonstrate problem solving skills with these individuals through critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and intellectual rigor; analyze complex issues and frame approaches for potential solutions
- Assist clients across one or more workstreams; engagement teams will be involved with assessing, validating, and benchmarking current operational performance and technology-enabled capabilities against healthcare leading practices and marketplace competitors
- Utilize or build AI tools to contribute to assessments of healthcare organizations including revenue cycle billing, follow-up/aging, denials, financial clearance capabilities, vendors, and all related front-end/back-end functions; site observations, stakeholder interviews, document review, data-driven insights, and process mapping
Qualifications :
- Minimum three years of consulting experience focused on revenue cycle operational or financial improvement, systems integration, or equivalent industry experience and demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry and functional leading practices; can relate these to specific client challenges; Minimum one year of direct supervisory experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university; preferred concentrations include Healthcare or Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Nursing, Biology & Life Sciences, Economics, or a related fieldMust have two years of analytics experience with handling, analyzing and evaluating large data sets using at least one of the following tools: Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, and/or Data Warehouse management; If an Epic recruit, experience with the following Epic modules such as Resolute (Hospital/Physician), Cadence, Prelude/ADT and Reporting Workbench
- Progressive experience implementing operational improvement plan(s) across the healthcare revenue cycle including financial clearance, scheduling, referral management, billing, follow-up/collections, and vendor management; proficiency with foundational consulting skills such as analytical, written and verbal communications, appropriate client presence, facilitation, and presentation abilitiesSolid understanding of revenue cycle concepts including financial clearance, insurance verification, financial counseling, patient estimations, registration functions, referral management, operational & financial metrics, industry leading practices, and key revenue cycle key performance indicators
- Ability to travel up to 50%
