KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Managing Director, Federal Services - GovCloud Technology Lead to join our Advisory Federal Services organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day engineering, operations, reliability, and performance of the organizations cloud IT infrastructure current deployment on Azure Government/Government Community Cloud (GCC) High
- Direct cloud engineering and operations teams to implement standardized, automated, and secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps practices
- Oversee security operations integration, including vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, incident response, and protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and other regulated data
- Define and report operational KPIs, SLAs, and cloud cost optimization metrics to executive leadership and enterprise stakeholders
- Partner with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, contracts, and program teams to align cloud operations with federal customer mission requirements and the enterprise strategy
- Maintain continuous compliance with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0, and DFARS requirements, including ATO support, audit readiness, and POA&M remediation
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum fifteen years of recent experience in IT infrastructure or cloud operations, including twelve plus years in hands-on cloud engineering and leading technical teams
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; preferred concentration in business, finance, or economics
- Relevant certifications preferred, such as AWS/Azure/GCP Professional-level, CISSP, CCSP, or CMMC Certified Professional (CCP)
- Proficiency with automation and IaC tools (for example, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines), containerization, and cloud-native monitoring and security tooling
- Deep experience architecting and operating government cloud environments (Azure GCC High, AWS GovCloud, GCP Assured Workloads), including understanding of DoD Impact Levels (IL2–IL5)
- Strong working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, 800-171, and 800-37 (RMF), FedRAMP, CMMC 2.0, FISMA, and ITAR/CUI handling requirements
