KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Define and document target state architecture for data platforms, inc data flows, integrations, and environment design to enable migration from legacy Access environment to a modern cloud data platform
- Guide technical decisions across development, data engineering, and security workstreams
- Partner with client technical leads and key subject matter experts to ensure alignment of proposed solution architecture to client standards, ATO requirements, and LT roadmap
- Design the data architecture to support cross-program data integration and to accommodate future AI, automation, and fraud detection use cases
- Collaborate with KPMG or client teams in designing and developing technical architectures and best practices
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience with architecting data platforms or enterprise applications in AWS, including architectural considerations for AI/ML workloads (data readiness, model integration, governance) and integration of multiple source systems across organizational boundaries
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Background in legacy system modernization and database migration
- Familiarity with federal security and compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800-53, ATO process)
- Ability to translate business and oversight requirements into technical architecture
- Experience leading technical teams and reviewing design work of others
- Strong client-facing communication skills, including presenting architecture to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
- Applicant must possess or be eligible for a U.S. Government clearance
