KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Associate for our Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical reviews of healthcare data, conduct research relative to industry leading practice and translate data analysis into a narrative used to communicate to clients
- Complete quantitative and qualitative analysis to monitor the success of initiatives and provide clients with a thorough and balanced view of their progress
- Converse with healthcare clients who are overseeing government healthcare program services to report on status of current initiatives and develop technical documentation to address their needs
- Participate in client engagements and work streams focused on execution and improvement of healthcare related processes
- Ability to communicate complex findings orally clearly and concisely and in writing
- Manage project plans and assist the engagement team in developing project management related documents and uses the documents throughout the engagement
Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months; Bachelors or Masters degree in Public Health, Health Management/Administration/Education/Sciences or other related health degree program, Public Policy/Administration, Sociology, Economics, Ethnic, Minority and Multidisciplinary studies, or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
- Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
- Coursework and/or experience related to healthcare operations and finance, analytics, strategy and/or technology
- Understanding of U.S. Healthcare and operations in various care settings (acute, post-acute, ambulatory), working knowledge of U.S health policy and policy making processes, as well as federal health care programs, including ACA, Medicare and/or Medicaid preferred
- Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under deadlines and work effectively on both independent and collaborative team-based projects
- Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
- Applicant must be eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance
- Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
- Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
