- Assist clients in designing, deploying, and managing technology and process solutions to minimize data compromise risks
- Develop technical requirements and evaluate vendor solutions with clients, focusing on architecture, design, and testing data discovery, classification, and protection solutions
- Support clients in implementing data protection capabilities for both data-at-rest and data-in-motion, ensuring comprehensive security measures are in place
- Collaborate with clients to create and test Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules and policies, enhancing data security frameworks
- Advise clients on future state problems and challenges in data security, working with them to improve their data protection capabilities and align with best practices
- Contribute to KPMG's thought leadership by engaging with client organizations and participating in external marketplace discussions, staying informed of industry trends in data risk and protection practices; engage with the vendor ecosystem on business development and pre-sales efforts
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum five years of recent experience in technical architecture integrating data discovery, classification or protection software into clients' infrastructure and applications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required; professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CRISC is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in three or more of the following areas: data discovery, data classification, data tagging, data de-identification (masking, encryption etc.), data leakage/content monitoring and filtering (DLP), data access controls, secure messaging/email encryption, mobile device security, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Data Rights Management (DRM), secure information storage, archival
- Hands-on experience with leading DSPM and DLP solutions and capabilities (such as, Cyera, BigID, Microsoft Purview, Varonis, Zscaler)
- Familiarity with User Behavior Analytics and Insider Threats; technical architecture experience integrating data protection software into clients' infrastructure; network architecture design, implementation, and administration
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. California Salary Range: $127100 - $237500
