KPMG is currently seeking a Software Architect to join our Audit Technology Alliance organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end architectural design of the full-stack generative AI application, from the front-end user experience to the underlying microservices and data pipelines
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and engineering leads to create a seamless, intuitive, and highly interactive Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) interface for our AI agents
- Drive the evolution of the application's front-end and back-end architecture, ensuring loose coupling and clear API contracts between the user-facing components and the core AI services
- Establish and govern the full-stack technical roadmap, ensuring our application is scalable, reliable, and built on a modern, maintainable technology stack
- Mentor development teams on best practices for full-stack development, guiding the implementation of features that require deep integration between the user interface and our AI engine
- Champion technical excellence and innovation across the entire application, with a focus on creating a high-quality, responsive, and powerful user experience that drives product adoption
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of recent professional experience, with a strong emphasis on full-stack development and a proven track record of architecting complex, user-facing applications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Expertise in designing and building full-stack solutions, including experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js), API design, and backend microservices on platforms like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and extensive experience with SDLC tools, including Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery
- Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and articulate architectural decisions that impact both user experience and backend infrastructure
- Experience architecting applications that integrate complex AI/ML systems, with a specific focus on building effective and intuitive user interfaces for human-agent interaction and data visualization
