KPMG is currently seeking a BTS Senior Associate Information Reporting and Withholding NYFS to join our Business Tax Services practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site guidance to withholding agents regarding compliance with information reporting requirements
- Extend support to clients in relation to the technical and practical application of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations
- Review work carried out by KPMG member firms globally during the performance of Qualified Intermediary (QI) audits, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) engagements
- Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
- Recognize, research, and recommend resolutions to tax issues from moderate to complex
- Develop and support risk assessments as well as implement appropriate tax procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of recent experience working at a Big four, law firm, or in a withholding agent environment focused on information reporting and withholding responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and Juris Doctor/Master of Laws (JD/LLM), in Taxation, and/or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university is preferred
