Drive the provision of tax advisory services for multi-national, United States headquartered companies with non-US indirect tax issues for client accounts and relationships. Undertake transaction, supply chain, business expansion, and merger and acquisition (M&A) analyses. Identify, document, and recommend client business requirements for implementing Value Added Tax (VAT) and other non-US indirect tax compliance processes and system improvements. Provide advice to businesses regarding their non-US indirect taxes and interact with non-US tax authorities. Coordinating Tax Authority audits including preparation of voluntary disclosures and assistance during the audit process including cross-border EU and International transactions. Plan and determine the scope of VAT/GST engagements, develop and control budgets throughout the project lifecycle, manage schedules and timelines, and review deliverables. Prepare VAT training presentations aimed at external and internal audiences. Interpret and clarify complex VAT analysis performed by other KPMG firms across the globe under their respective national VAT laws. Actively seek lead generations, foster new relationships, and support the development of responses to client proposal requests regarding non-US indirect taxes. Monitor the economic position of engagements, including the billing lifecycle, cash collection, and risk management. Coordinate communication with Partners to ensure alignment on project statuses, deadlines, and quality of work product.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. required up to 30%.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Business Information Systems, Legal Studies, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Business Information Systems, Legal Studies, or a related field, and 7 years of related work experience, out of which 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Advising on non-US indirect tax issues including complex supply chain analysis, new product and country expansions, seller and purchaser due diligence processes, and reverse audits; Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Model Reporting Rules (including EU DAC 7 rules); Reviewing and augmenting non-US indirect tax processes to improve cash flow management, compliance accuracy and governance over global indirect tax positions; Advising clients on tax transformation strategies including the implementation of digitization, automation and data analytics into the Indirect Tax governance and compliance process; Working on non-US indirect systems projects, including Sabrix, Vertex, Taxware, or native ERP systems; Reviewing data from SAP, PeopleSoft, or Oracle; and Reviewing AP/PO, A/R, or G/L data for non-US indirect taxes consequences.
Telecommuting may be permitted within commutable distance from the office location, depending on business need.

SALARY: $213,200 - $365,600 per year
