KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage a variety of modern big data tools / approaches to solve complex business objectives
- Develop / update big data platform requirements to assess client data platforms, identify gaps in technologies / processes, and provide technical recommendations on platform modernization / cloud migration / integration
- Design tools / services useful in cloud DevOps environments such as performance monitoring, security monitoring, deployment / configuration, continuous integration / build servers, and cloud resource creation scripts
- Lead multi-disciplinary / cross-functional teams, workshops, innovation sessions with clients, to identify business opportunities and optimization
- Help drive the process for pursuing innovations, target solutions, and extendable data platforms; participate in developing / presenting thought leadership
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of technical data engineering experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience with Python and SQL required (experience with Advana, Databricks, Spark preferred)
- Experience with development tools and methodologies (Agile, GIT, test driven development, CI/CD release management)
- Experience with data architecture / integration and coding / testing patterns working with existing open-source software platforms
- Experience leading project teams and engagements
- Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
- Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
