KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate Paralegal-Commercial Contracting to join our Office of General Counsel (OGC) organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform substantive review of all documents submitted for legal review, including but not limited to, vendor contracts, master services agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, business associate agreements, engagement letters, data security agreements and policies
  • Serve as liaison to the business during the intake process; responsibilities include but are not limited to, managing OGC databases, establishing deadlines, and fielding questions from the engagement teams, attorneys and contract managers regarding documents, OGC processes, and OGC's intake system
  • Act as a liaison to outside counsel, managing administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to, checking availability, uploading reviews into OGC's intake system, and sending updates regarding OGC review processes, procedures, and policies
  • Participate in OGC technology enhancements to increase OGC's functionality, including but not limited to, platforms and solutions for intake, contract management, and bill processing; provide guidance to attorneys, contract managers, and other paralegals on such efforts
  • Coordinate interactions with internal subject matter experts necessary to complete the documents review
  • Review and revise various firm policies, procedures, and processes in efforts to maximize efficiency and speed to market; run analytics and reports and assist the business in obtaining necessary information, when requested
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum seven years of recent experience, ideally in a law firm; professional services firm or similarly complex environment
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with seven years of work experience and advanced knowledge of technologies: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, OGC specific software including currently, but not limited to, Service Now, and Counsel Link are required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail; sound professional and ethical judgment, tact, and initiative to make independent decisions when necessary
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, active listener; demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Discretion in handling confidential material and high level of comfort liaising and interacting with OGC and business Senior Management; service-oriented skills and ability to embrace change, technology, and innovation
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a diversified workload, meeting established deadlines with minimal supervision; Resourcefulness and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to succeed in a demanding, fast paced environment
